Sorry I took so long, I was busy babysitting. I remember thinking as a kid that it was odd that they changed Dorothy's slippers to ruby slippers in the movie. I had red slippers and used to pretend that they were ruby slippers

Why yes it does. the passion flower is so called because of its resemblance to christ wearing his crown of thorns a la passion. The fruit inherited the name from the flower.
