RE: Photo shoot: Yeah, the jeans needed some work. I've had that problem too: every time I wanted an @$$ shot my good jeans were in the wash! I recommend Rockies for that if you can find them in Nashville. But otherwise, great pic! I'm assuming you actually play the guitar? She's a beauty.
LOL Those ARE my good jeans. Apparently I need "gooder" jeans. Or a few pounds to fill those out. Due to my odd size I can generally only get Gap jeans to fit right, and they cost a bit. I freakin' HATE shopping, truly. I have a pair of Rockies, actually, but I have weird hips and they don't sit right.

Just realized I forgot to answer your question, Shel - yes, I do play, but not very well these days. That's my 1974 Univox Effie Special. She's my baby.

Here's another pic - my unintentional Izzy Slash tribute. The hair, the hat, the shades... I nearly spit tea on my monitor when that one came off the memory card.

Dang, girl. Yeah, after seeing the rest of those photos, I'm voting for the addition of a few pounds..... you're giving me an inferiority complex! (KIDDING! I like my shape. Round is a shape... *grin*). Loved Rockies when I could get them (and afford them) but I wear "mom jeans" (high-waisted) because I have a surgery scar and can't STAND low-rise jeans on it. So those are great for that.
But apparently western wear stores do not exist in Illinois... LOL. Would move to Nashville in a heartbeat if A. Chris could get a job there and B. we could afford to live there!

ETA: After reading the previous post, (and seeing the other photos) I was thinking a cross between Dwight Yoakum and Gretchen Wilson. (That's meant as a compliment, by the way, LOL).

I love Dwight!

I certainly wouldn't mind gaining a few pounds. Being stick-thin is not all it's cracked up to be. For one thing, it hurts a lot more when I fall down. Which I do occasionally, from othostatic hypotension or, as my friends call it, "dizzy girl syndrome". I actually got a concussion one night. You should have seen me trying to explain to the people I was with that NO I was not drunk. But hey, it's always good for a laugh.

I have kind of an adult version of "failure to thrive". My body doesn't soak up the nutrients it needs properly. It's hard for me to gain weight or build muscle mass. I'm just glad I was born a girl.

Yeah, that would have really sucked if you were a guy...

Spoiler:
Chris likes me the way I am, fortunately. When we were "dating" I was lamenting my weight (I used to be 90 lbs soaking wet), and his comment was, "I wouldn't like you skinny. Have you ever seen two skinny people going at it? It's ugly. Leaves bruises." He IS skinny (but tall), so I got the point and haven't worried about it since.

LOL Shel! And he is so right!
Spoiler:
I totally cannot date skinny guys for that reason. It's like BANG! CRASH! OUCH! I much prefer an average build. It's safer for both that way.

I saw your wedding pics on FB - yes, he IS tall!

I, however, have decided to try to steer clear of neck injuries in the future.

Ha! Of course I knew that. I put the "taking Shel out of context" bit for the benefit of others, because, as you say, I think you knew I was just mucking around.

Cheers,
Marc

I don't even remember posting that.

Wonder what else I do in the mornings that I don't remember? Hmm... Methinks I should wait till the coffee is brewed before turning on the computer.

So... how is everyone today??
