2. Emerging from a chilled car into the air in my driveway literally took my breath away. Now I remember why I try to avoid driving with the a/c on. [besides fogging up my glasses when I get out.]

I hate that too. To me, A/C in the car is a sometimes-necessary evil but I never really enjoy it. For years, the a/c in my car was broke and I just never bothered getting it fixed. People hating riding with me in the summer.

It got hot here again today, after a fairly mild weekend.

Belatedly, I fixed it. I blame my netbook and its tiny chicklet keyboard for the error. Also, amen to the glasses fogging up.

Last night, around 7 pm, the wind became very gusty - but no storm developed/arrived. Instead the winds "blew away" the humidity for about an hour - I actually had a pleasant after dinner walk.

Now the humidity is back - with storms for today.
Then the pressure cooker returns for the weekend - temps in the upper 90's F -> 100's F. Ugghh.
