PRS 600 standby works-thanks!
Installing my standby page graphic on my PRS 600 with my custom artwork and cel # (in case I leave it somewhere) was all that was missing on my 2nd reader! Perfect!

I have a PRS 350 for travel and a PRS 600 for home now. All of the Sony readers are being discontinued in my local stores so I bit the bullet and got the PRS 600 (open box) online a week ago. I just updated my personal info-thanks for the reminder.

Kartu, is the source code of the Sony software freely available or did you decompile it? Presumably it's written in C?

i believe this software update is flawed. I keep getting every page formatted, which takes forever. It's not worth the prs+ perks.

Presuming you are talking about a BBeB/LRF book.

Please start your PRS in "Safe-Mode".
Shutdown, connect to USB, Power-On, get the USB-Connected Message, disconnect form USB.
You should get the standard-Sony-UI.

Retry your book. If it is still formating, then
A) the book may be badly formated
B) your IM (Intermal Memory) may be corrupted

Possible solutions:
Backup the books, Run chkdsk on IM or format it

PS: PRS+ is using the original Sony-Viewers for all book-formats, so it shouldn't cause any problems while reading.

at least Revision 388fb654ab from June, 18th didn't fix the audio/picture problem with my PRS-505
