Touch Question about Cases/Skins for Nook Simple Touch

Hello,

I have just a couple of questions about the cases and skins for Nook Simple Touch. I'm not asking for recommendations as much as some technical and user-testing aspects.

Gelaskins - does it come off at the edges?
I'm thinking of jazzing it up with a customised skin, because even though it's a neat-looking device, it looks too formal and I'd really like to have colour on it. My question is: do the edges flip up from lack of stickiness/friction eventually? I was thinking of adding on to this with a neoprene sleeves, and in the past, my experience with decals (not Gelaskins) is that they start to pop up at the edges due to friction caused by sliding the gadgets in and out of sleeves, and gathering lint instead.

Appreciate some thoughts on this. Otherwise, might get a case to accompany the Gelaskins, but what a waste of the back piece!

Weight of Nook cases
I'm looking at B&N's range of covers, in particular Cambridge or Vasco. The weights are not provided and I'll probably email B&N about it, but how does it feel from the perspective of the end users (you guys, be it on the Classic or Colour or Touch). Is it a significant burden as compared to when the Nook is naked? Any discomfort?

I'm not looking for non-leather products, and these clips are also particularly nifty too! Not a fan of the elastic bands, feel that they are more distracting than any decal.

p/s: I raised a question to B&N and am waiting for their reply on whether the cardboard box used if I purchase a Nook would be the same if a Nook with a case were shipped. I'm looking to forward the package over, but wouldn't see the costs justified if they use a significantly bigger box just for the cover. I will post the answer to this later in the sticky, but if anyone has any real-life experience, do share!

I bought the Huxley cover for my touch, and I think it's not a significant burden. I think the Touch and the cover still weigh less than many paperbacks. The shipping box for a Nook + cover will probably be twice as deep as one with just the Nook.
