Unless the watermarks are in the graphics which is entirely possible. It would mean then having to figure out how to remove them.

If it is in an image, you can chop it out from a header. Or if it is throughout the image data but not visible, you can screenshot the rendered version and then clean it up. No more watermark.

I will be getting these, and I really don't care about the watermark. I mean, I don't plan on pirating them, so it isn't a big deal. It does't prevent me from doing what I want with what I bought, so what does it hurt. It isn't like DRM, that blocks you from doing something.

You know Id buy it again if they had a huge compilation of all the Potter books to date. I say 'to date' because Im sure shell put out another some day. I think Id give her maybe $50 for it. Give me a cool cover, something made especially for that, have it in multiple formats so I can have one for my Kindle, iTouch and cell phone and well be in business.

Anyone care to speculate on whether Kindle users will be able to sync to the last page read across multiple devices if the HP books are purchased from this special website? (Same question goes for other ereaders and apps that allow syncing).

A friend mentioned hearing a rumor that Rowling was going to do a short story series about Hogwarts--but not necessarily about Harry Potter. Not sure if was just wishful thinking on her part.
