I do take their DRM announcement (i.e., not "supposition") very seriously. I'm sorry I somehow offended you by talking about it online.

It'll be interesting to see if folks who aren't Sony die hards (in the U.S.) pay the substantial premium for their Readers. This affiliation will probably justify (in their corporate mind) the continued high price.

I plan on using mine until it just drops dead - and praying there's a comparable replacement out there when that happens.

I would be shocked if she only sold e-books using ADE EPUB DRM. She is going to be selling them on her website. I expect that she will sell them using all the various formats.

I think kids will want it and parents will give in especially if it gets them reading more.

But I bet you'll be able to buy a Sony Reader with all the Harry Potter books pre-loaded ready to be read. No other brand will be doing that.

It cost the same as the non-HP iPod ($299), but you had to buy it with all six (at the time) audiobooks ($249). Last edited by AnemicOak; 06-23-2011 at 02:54 PM.

Depends. If it is only a cloud book, I wouldn't even touch it with a stick. I don't have a wifi/3G enabled reader, nor do I want one.

I hope the books are formatted with different fonts to simulate the books because yes, you can get the text on a Kindle, but you can't get the fonts in AZW. This will make it even better for Sony. Take that Amazon for going with an obsolete format (I hope). |

1 ) The ebook is not full of OCR, properly formated all that. I'll be expecting high quality after all these time 2 ) there is no DRM (including watermark), I can't take off easily.
