MS-DOS?? MS-DOS was scary! I'm glad it's "was". If it's still "is" I can never be here on MR posting silly stuffs...

Well, if you are feeling nostalgic you can always open the command prompt in Windows XP (not sure if the later ones have it). I just can't seem to remember all those DOS commands anymore. deltree c:\

Yeah, that took me by surprise. I like the App tabs for using Twitter and Gmail, works like a charm.

Now, back to work for me...

Packing up my kit for an early morning departure tomorrow for Malaysia and Thailand. Time for me to go to work again. Lighter kit this time, as no diving will be involved, but still lots of heavy camera gear!

I remember taking one of the big floppies apart. And the smaller ones too. MS-DOS wasn't too bad. I remember typing in A:\ and whatever I had in there to load.

The problem with the command prompt in XP onwards is that it's limited and is too fast for the old stuff. So, you have to use DOSBOX now.

Matrix dot printers, Print Shop, Windows 3.1 best things ever. The old Macs were cool too.

Ah, the good old pre-Internet days, when, if you wanted a virus on your computer, you had to load it yourself from a 3.5 floppy.
