Definitely have her call Audible (1-888-283-5051) right away. That offer expires at midnight (PDT) on Fri 24 Jun 11.

As to the tool offer, she's like me and does not qualify. Amazon did not send that offer to everyone, just to select KSOs; and it appears that early buyers are being left out.

Two offers again. This time I got both. Will definitely get the book offer. Not sure about the GPS offer. Was hoping the offer would include handhelds, but obviously it isn't. Too bad.

That actually had nothing to do with your system file search. I had exactly the same thing happen and all I did was claim the book offer. Clearly Amazon has a few bugs in the system.

WARNING: Watch out very carefully for the book offer. It is VERY easy to wind up with a book not eligible when you modify the order of the books or when you look in different categories. Make sure you are getting a KSO book or you might not know it and the $10 gift card will never show up. I continually would wind up with a list of titles that were not in the offer even though I was just clicking "next" and often I would search with "Kindle with Special Offers Qualifying eBooks" as the limiting term and the search engine would send me to a title than was specifically not in the KSO listing. If I was going to take this offer, I would only do so after I received and email confirmation that the title was eligible for the offer, especially as they won't give you the $10 credit until August.

OK, nice to know. I thought it was my delving into the system folder because this was the first time I accessed that folder after claiming an offer and also the first time I had an offer disappear from my Kindle.

From what the email read, it appears if you are "off" when a batch goes out, you may miss offers.

Today, I got the $10 free books offer, but the GPS offer, which was downloaded earlier and showed on the Special Offers page, only gave me an error when I tried to display the ad, telling me it's materials were gone.

Back to calling support.....

That doesn't make sense. It would force people to keep their WiFi permanently on. Not good for battery life.

When I order an Audible book, it asks if I'd like it delivered to my Kindle. I say yes and it says it will load the next time I turn on my WiFi. I would assume the ads would be delivered in the same fashion.

Take a look at the opening post and tell me if you see anything missing. It contains a complete listing of all offers (except for today's two). With my WiFi mostly kept off, I received all of them; except for the tool offer which my KSO didn't qualify for.

I got both offers again but I've noticed on some of the other message boards that a lot of people didn't get the GPS offer. I looked in my .assets folder this morning and noticed that there were 2 new offers dropped in there this morning but surprisingly they were both the same buy $10 of books with Visa and get a $10 credit that was already in my folder now I have 3 of these offers in my folder all with a different picture on them.

Im in the middle of an experiment right now. I have ripped the ads from my kso, and tonight I intend to re-enable them, and see if I get the offers that came in last night. The $10 of kindle books for $10 is an ad I want, so we shall see.

Even though it makes no sense, it sounds right and would explain a lot of the odd delivery reports that we are seeing here. My guess would be that there is more than one "batch" download scheduled but it is still possible to miss ads that are short term. I guess we need to turn on the WiFi or 3G once a day to find out.

I suppose we could call Amazon.

Don't know if this will help, but I got 2 ads on 6/22, 3 on 6/18, 1 on 6/17 and 2 on 6/16.

This AM, I had an offer for the GPS and it disappeared when I went on line.

I received no ads today and my WiFi has been on since Monday.
