Kitchen oven, although I think you could put it on a large outdoor grill. You can find the stones anywhere for about $35. Be sure to get a nice big wooden paddle to slide your pizza with, too. Lots of fun. And put your stone in the oven and heat it up at least half an hour or an hour in advance. Your pizza will come out hot and crispy in no time.

^ lol...Kinda how I feel as well. Although, they have their places:
- Pizza Hut is pretty OK for an occasional pizza change of pace [stuffed cheesy crust is nice];
- Dominoes, perfect for those munchies at 3AM;
- Godfather's: not too many in NYC that I am aware of so never had it.

^ Well, now that I am in HK, Pizza Hut is pretty much all I got. A few other smallish Domino type places, and a scattering of NYC type pizza parlors and upscale brick oven places...

<sigh...gotta get used to it...>

We have Pizza Hut, Dominoes, and a couple of local places, but I like my own homemade better than any of them. I "cheat" and use the Pillsbury crusts but load it up with our favorite toppings. That way I can get the ratio of sauce and cheese that we prefer. If I'm going to be lazy and order out though, the Hut usually gets my vote.

When I'm feeling the need for calories, I make a 'Double Pizza.'
I make enough dough for two pizzas, and lightly bake each separately without any toppings. I use a cast iron deep sukiyaki pan (it's a cross-cultural event) well buttered with garlic butter and put one of the crusts in, and add the toppings; tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, sliced peperoni, Italian sausage, etc. Then I put the second crust on top of everything, and build what amounts to a second pizza on that! Back into the oven for a quick melt-down of the cheeses, and it's "Happy Tongue Time" in the Stitchawl dinning room!

Thin crust pizza all the way! I love shrimp, mushroom, spinach and/or onion on my pizza, and sometimes prosciutto. One of the best pizzas that I've eaten had a "bolognese" topping.
