Where are they?
Ttf fonts in the Fonts folder on the SD card are usable by fbreader and coolreader3 among other apps. |

They are in the Pocketbook iqs system, fonts folder.
Using the reader that comes with the iq I can't change to any other font. I thought the iq used fbreader as the default. love the iq..............had it since xmas and have launcher pro and other goodies loaded. Wish I could find an email program that would let me put in my email addys though. |

I like my IQ and I do a fair amount of reading on it, but of the eight reader apps I have on it, the PBreader app is the one that gets the least use. As in, none. Even the repligo pdf reader gets more action.
Not being able to change the font face is the least of its sins... but the most annoying, I'll grant. |

Thanks for the fast comeback. You really know your stuff!
What do you recommend for an all around reading program? Do you change programs say for Epub, then another program for another format? |

Try Aldiko for EPUB, it can even handle DRM
![]() ![]() Another one for EPUB is Moonreader+, but I don't like it ![]() For these apps you'll need to install Android market, if not already done, and Apps2SD may be helpful, but for that you'll have to start from scratch, because it possibly will destroy the data on your SD card ![]() |

For mobi reading, I use the Kindle app.
For DRM-free epub, coolreader 3. I tried aldiko 2.x but reverted to 1.x which doesn't need to be faked out. I use it mostly as an organizer and to access OPDS catalogs online, while waiting for Coolreader and/or to debug/improve their OPDS support. When that happens, I'll be done with Aldiko. Its not bad, I just prefer Coolreader. I really like the dual column landscape and how it handles multi-level TOCs. For Library access and ADEPT drm'ed epub, I keep Overdrive. For pdf access I keep repligo. I keep Nook handy in case I ever want a book that Amazon doesn't carry. Hasn't happened yet, but theoretically... ![]() I tried Kobo but saw no reason to keep it. I'm waiting to see what Bluefire for android looks like but for now Coolreader 3.45-11 is my reader of choice. |
