Do you guys know the kind of rubik that has strings inside? instead of twisting the rubik so that the colors match, you untangle those strings? the rubik is transparent so we can see the strings in it? It certainly has a name and I forgot it...

I'm at my friends' place, looking after the cat and dog. Hadn't planned to bring my notebook but I needed some (online) retail therapy . I just got the news about an acquaintance. A guy was from my junior high school, he wasn't a good boy, not at all, and I'd say he was a bastard. Now he's dead. He was drown, and his father died trying to save him.

I felt indifferent when I read about his death. I felt sorry for his dad, but still, I couldn't care less about that poor boy. I think I'm heartless.

I think it's always hard to feel empathy with people you dislike. I wouldn't wish death on anyone, though (with a few small exceptions, and they are mass murderers who we would all be better off without), but equally you don't need to feel guilty about not caring.

It does sound like a tragedy for the wife/mother though, and maybe she deserves some thought.
