The calibre plug in doesnt seem to have worked for the last two books? Crap, just saw that kindleforPC updated automatically!

Hasn't worked for me for a while. I've been too lazy to figure it out and just used unswindle. Must be the same problem, although I thought I had automatic updates disabled.

yep, I thought I had them disabled too! I deleted k4pc and downloaded a very early one. All good now.

You need the 1.4.1 version or earlier. Easy to find copies on the net if you don't have one.

Yeah, I just found mine had updated itself, even though the automatic update is still unchecked. In fact, it said it had updated today; I had downloaded a freebie this morning; I bet it updated then but what's the point of having a button to uncheck if it can keep updating itself whenever it wants?

odd, i just checked my version number and the not-checked checkbox (still unchecked) and i still have version 4.1.

try downloading a free book and see if it changes.

ETA I just downloaded several myself and it didn't update the software but I have no idea how it could have before.

Mine still says 1.0.1 beta 1, and the last update is given as August 2010. But nevertheless I can no longer unDRM books opened there with Calibre. Could a Calibre update be the problem? I'm up to 0.7.56 on that, but my Kindle plugin was still there last time I looked.

The new tools (4.0) now work with Kindle for PC 1.5.0 too.

It's still a good idea to uncheck auto updates. It's impossible to tell whether the next update will break the tools again.
