You're welcome. While I imagine it isn't as sturdy as actual leather is I have yet to have a problem with my cover. I use it when I am transporting my Kindle (such as when I go to church and use my KJV on the Kindle) and it does its job very well. No light built in but not a real problem (IMO).

I ordered this cover when I ordered my kindle today. It was cheap, a nice color, and had good reviews: http://www.amazon.com/mCover%C2%AE-L...ef=cm_cmu_pg_t

I'll let you all know what I think when I get it, but the price was right, anyway!

That is a great find. I wish Amazon didn't make it so hard to find cheap Kindle covers.

I just ordered a blue one. Thanks for the tip!

Glad to help. I am finding that there are a ton of Kindle cases on Amazon that you won't find in the Kindle store or by searching for "Kindle Case". They are usually the cheaper versions of the more expensive ones.

As a follow up to the real leather version I mentioned earlier; shipping took 2 days, first class mail, and I can't say enough good things about this case.

Mine was black and I had a direct comparison to the $34 comparable case from Amazon, and this is much better. Better fit, more leather, more logical clasp, no annoying stink as seen on many cheap cases, and better access to the hard to reach buttons at the bottom of the Kindle.

I will most likely buy more just to have some variety in the colors. I doubt I will look at any other leather cases but these.

I do like those, but I don't know if I could get used to the clasp/snap being in the back instead of the front. Oh, and the black one is now $300. Actually, she ran out and instead of taking the listing down, she changed the price to $299.99.

Not that I need a third case for my K3, but I am tempted.

I got a nice one on ebay too, basic black. Now I have to get the protective sheet for the face.

The black went up $1 and you are right, they sold out of that color and the blue. I kind of like that they won't accept orders even when inventory is due in 3 days or so.

I have found no problem with the strap as it saves a ton of trouble compared to being right in the way if it were on the other side. I got used to it i a few hours.

I did the same and got it today. Really pleased and impressed with the workmanship. Fits great, isn't bulky, and I like the magnetic clasp on it. For anyone looking for something like the original Kindle cover without a light, this is it. A bargain, too.

chas0039 posted a link to a leather cover from blueangeldirect on ebay. Can someone dec describe the interior lining of that case? I need something that doesn't grab onto pet hair and other fuzz. The black velour stuff used on some other K3 cases (like the one I have) is a lint magnet.

The interior is soft material, not at all very long, and easy to brush off. I have caught an occasional bit of fuzz there but it brushes right off. I am sure someone better at materials would be able to tell you exactly what it is; it reminds me of the ribbons on the poinsettias at Christmas.

Thanks chas0039. We have 2 big cats so this is a constant problem with clothing, furniture etc. Unfortunately it's hard to predict whether a particular material will hold hair and lint; sometimes you get suprised, and a sweater that seems like it wouldn't be a problem turns out to be a hair magnet. I might take a chance on this case because it's cheap. Say if you have a friend with a white cat, you might run a test for me :-)

Sorry, no cats anywhere near me. Based on what I have seen with fluff and hair, I would go for it. It doesn't seem to stick and it is very easy to brush off.

I have an mCover case, black, and love it. I might order another color one of these days. I dislike covers with clasps that stick out, so this one is perfect.
