I get saddened when people cannot afford to say the truth. This person keep saying he will do today or definitely by tomorrow and is going on for a week. Why promise something you can't do... It's about depositing the money he owes me.

Well, see, the problem is I am not the one eating the chicken. I think I've only eaten chicken ONCE this year. But my dog... my dog eats chicken a few nights a week. I'm starting to see a connection here...

Someone once told me I was awe-inspiring, but I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic. (I had told him that if he bought me a drink, other women in the bar would see it and would be more likely to talk to him after I left. I was only trying to help, honest!)

Sometimes people get mixed up like that in my dreams too. My parents will be totally different people, or my friends in the dream will be people I've never seen before in my life. It always throws me off, because I wake up feeling like I have more friends. Then the coffee kicks in.

ok, if we're doing weird dreams... earlier this week I dreamt that an Orca had swum up the salmon creek and was hanging out in my pond

That's easy ... having giant cats & dogs & horses around you makes you dream of giant fish! [yes, I know whales are mammals, but fish sounds better for the joke, errrr, analysis]

This could be a new thread. It would sure help with ideas for amusing illustrations.

That would be kind of awesome. Maybe not for the Orca...

Does the expression "big fish in a small pond" bring anything to mind? I mean, I don't know if it means anything, I'm just fishin'...

I had a professor once tell me that a psychiatrist would have a field day with my dreams. I think pshrynk here agreed with him, too, (which is why I've stopped telling people my dreams!). I have enough mental obscurity, without somebody getting up in there and stirring it around!

When I was in Vietnam in '69-'70, one reoccurring element in my dreams was animals that talked. It would seem very natural when we first struck up a conversation, until at some point in the dream I would realize that talking with an animal and having the animal talk back was not commonplace.

I often have that dream too about the talking animals. But they are always bossing me around. And glowing with bright golden auras. Then my Granny chases them away with her little blue broom. Then we drink water from those little waxed dixie cups. Usually I wake up there, but sometimes I start a load of laundry forher in the birdbath out in her back yard before I wake up.
