MobileRead is now the new home of the Entourage Edge Forums
I'm pleased to announce that after a lot of work MobileRead is now home to a complete copy of the enTourage eDGe Forum. It's not a perfect copy; it's missing the user info, but we did save the posts. You can find it here.
BTW, you might see some changes in the posts in the next few days. The MR staff is currently reviewing the posts and we may need to edit some the posts to bring them in line with MobileRead policies. We promise to try to keep the changes to a minimum. I'd like to thank Entourage on behalf of all Edge owners for giving MR the chance to save the forums; we deeply appreciate it. Two final points:

Is Entourage alive?
Shall we see a final Ermine? Or at least what has been done to it since the beginning of April. Surely they were doing something... |

Might I suggest that we be vigilant in supporting the user rules (er, I must *read* them), so that this forum survives.

It is just another ebook reader.
I thoughts it was something else. |

It is not "just another reader". It is a dualbook, a device combo of a tablet PC with LCD screen and an ereader with E-Ink screen. And that's why it's unique. There is nothing similar on the market and nothing announced.
One might say that there are Jinke/lBook v3, Nook and Highscreen Alex, but they all have just a small LCD touchscreen for managing the device. But the enTourage eDGe has equal-sized screens what makes it usable both as a nice tablet and good ereader. And this two devices are quite well integrated. There are some features in between, like one-touch making of an ebook out of a webpage displayed on the tablet screen and reading it on the E-Ink screen. |

However, one of the three most powerful eInk's features (the other two are eye-strain-free experience and freedom of reading outdoors) is lost to me because the gadget's battery life is not even 20% of what eInk can do. I cannot afford thinking about battery life when I read books. Reading must be accompanied with an absolutely relaxing atmosphere. |

That, of course, is a point. But personally I am used to charge all my electronic devices every night.
