Look at the price of the Onyx, the Edge still knocks the socks off of anything else out there, integration of tablet with reader is sheer genius!!!!

I agree, nbfsinger! I would far rather have an eDGe myself, but my husband is looking for a new reader and I can't convince him. I think he'll buy a second (new version) Kindle. :|

Meanwhile, we have to have somewhere to turn if the eDGe deserts us. I'm still hoping for good news from enTourage . . .

Then you better wait at least 8 months for new devices to go out in the market, because nothing in the 9" range can be compared to the eDGe price/performance wise. The new Onyx M90/91 are going to be far better than any kindle, unless the K will be cut in the price soon.

I hope entourage hangs in there for the long haul. I thought of another reason why entourage might be hung up a bit at this time - everybody and his brother is trying to come out with a tablet right now. Most of them can't compare to the edge, but finding manufacturers and parts to produce an upgraded edge must be pretty difficult.

I think the state of Illinois in conjunction with ISBE the state board of education should get some money to create new jobs together with an order for two-MILLION edges to be sold at an economical price to school districts. Everybody wins. I've got some contacts if anyone from the company wants to take this up in earnest.

ZDNET says that Honeycomb is like Windows Vista and we should wait until "Ice Cream" rendition of Android OS.

All I want for Christmas 2011 is a 10.1" eDGe 2.0 with GPS, accelerometer, access to android marketplace and the Ice Cream OS. That's not asking Santa for too much if I promise to be REAL good?

Just had a word with Santa. If you had wanted a new train set instead, he's sure you wouldn't be disappointed. But, if you insist on the edge++ then the elves will duct tape a Garmin to one outside cover of the edge, and a fully-spec'd android tablet to the other side of the edge. (It won't be pretty, and when the other kids see it they'll make fun of you ;-) .)

Oh yeah? Well, then, me and Rudolph will just go and play our own reindeer games by ourselves. (I hear Rudolph's not bad at Angry Birds . . .)
