Horrible pictures with green background
Camera worked fine before Ermine.
Now I tried to take a picture of my stylus USB retractable ribbon to post it here, and I found out that the camera frame in the tablet had a terrible green background, and this green background also appeared in the pictures taken, not only in the display. In the Settings -- Applications --- Manage applications, I saw that there were two cameras app, the 1 version and the 2.1.1 version. As they came integrated, I cannot uninstall version 1, and I suspect version 2.1.1 is an update with Ermine, keeping the 1.0 version until Ermine is officially released? However, when I record video, the image looks fine. The green horror only comes up in still camera mode. Can anyone help me with this camera problem? Thank you in advance. |

We all seem to have that issue. Someone speculated it had to do with the default size of the picture. I think it's a 1.2 or 1.3 mega-pixel camera trying to take a 1536 x 2048 picture.

Neither version 1.0 nor version 2.2.1 admit uninstall, sorry to say.
Thanks anyway, Obsessed. It helps to know there are many of us with this issue, because at least I know it is not the broken hardware. The first to get a solution, please feel welcome here to pass by and post it. |

I have the green picture as well. Not in display (actually very good), but only in the taken result. With better light it's a little less greenish. With the app Photoshop Express I can adjust it a little more acceptable.

I was just playing with this a little. My camera shows a solid green field so that I don't get a preview of what I'm shooting. It does take a picture but also with the green cast. I checked the application in settings and found two camera apps. One (236kb) is v1 and the other (240kb) is v2.2.1. It seems when you launch either application they both activate. I think it is the v1 apps interface we are getting because in looking at the android user guide the newer version should be showing us some other settings which are definitely not on mine. I don't know what will happen if one is removed and I don't have time right now to be reinstalling ermine, etc., etc. I have to wonder though if having two of the same apps isn't causing a problem. Also, if I uninstall the earlier version I think the only way to get it back would be going back to dingo and then starting the whole process over??
I also looked around and found that this has been a common complaint in the android world. It's not just us. I even tried Camera360 v1.1.3 http://www.mediafire.com/?vw2vp7q20af961n It installed but froze everything on launch. Last edited by aidren; 04-17-2011 at 03:09 PM. |

Pocket Edge is Taking Crystal Clear Pictures
This is strange. I don't understand why my PE is taking crystal clear pictures with absolutely NO tint. If I could figure out how to attach a picture like Sarah.
http://s1129.photobucket.com/albums/...418_114334.jpg OK, no tint but I think I may have cracked my lens. ![]() ![]() Last edited by obsessed2; 04-18-2011 at 02:37 PM. Reason: Attempting to Attach Photo |

What I like about uploading photos to photobucket is that if you hover over any of your pictures, you just click on the appropriate code you want (link to a full-size picture, link to a thumbnail --which is what I do -- that is clickable so people can visit the full image on your photobucket site if they care to see it larger...) Also, the photobucket app for the edge is awesome. I like it much better than the Picasa app, which is where I've always stored my photos in the past. |

I just tested with my PE and both the application view and picture look fine, no color distortions.
I installed Ermine on the day it was available. I will check it later on my EE. |
