Wow! 135 new members since 4/10/2011! :)

That seems like a lot of people joining the forum, or has it always been this way?

Welcome to all the new people (I still feel new myself! ). Happy to have you around, whether you ever post or not.

(Just FYI -- Some good videos posted here: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=128907)

I'm talking about my Edge experience in one of the bigger italian forums about e-ink readers, posted like 70 pics of the device, and two users wrote they bought the Edge after me. I didnt write down a real review, I'm sure when I'll do it other buyers will follow.

But for the review I'll wait for the final 2.2 release, as for that time I'll better acknowledged about the machine, which I dont know well in the tablet side, yet. Plus, I think that landscape is important.

If enTourage could make haist! They can still sell well in the next 3-4 months, without cuts on the price, if the 2.2 will be out soon.

Welcome new members!

A suggestion: someone here suggested that forum members put their device in their signature (PE or EE) so that when they ask questions, we can easily figure out which device you're talking about. (Sometimes it can be easy to forget to mention, and sometimes you might get sick of retyping that info all the time.)

I would also suggest, although I know many like to remain anonymous, that one at least update their profile to show country or continent or simply whether or not you're in the US. It can help when discussing things like Google Voice, Amazon marketplace etc. that have inherent geo-restrictions. (Even though there may be sneaky loopholes available.)

That seems like a very nice increase in membership. I'm curious where this information came from? Is there a query on the forum that provides such statistics (something I haven't noticed)?

Along the horizontal bar (New posts, Private Messages etc.) you can choose Community, then Member List. On the right, there's a Search feature. Clicking advanced search allows you to search on a bunch of various criteria, one of them is join date, but I can't seem to get that to work. (I still get ALL members showing up even though I try to search for those who joined after April 10)

What I can do is just go right to the bottom of the advanced search and chose "sort by join date" and "descending". Then, all the members will be listed from newest to oldest. I just went 3 pages in, randomly, and clicked on the 90th person's profile, and I can see that his/her join date was April 13. I'm not sure why the search feature isn't working for me, but at least I can rank people by join date and then verify that the 150th person joined on April 10, but the 180th person joined on April 8. I could keep trying until I found the exact count. But yes, as of now, it's over 150 people since April 10.

Also, Filark could have just happened to notice the total number of members on April 9 or 10, and just be comparing it to the total number of members s/he notices now. But if you really want to know such things, there are ways.

Yup! That's what I did. I keep forgetting to put the date in the correct order (yyyy/mm/dd), which causes problems, but when I put it in right it works for me!

I was just checking to see if some of the people from MobileRead Forum had joined, and happened to notice the number of "newbies." I'm always glad to find other people who share my enthusiasms.
