I have it too, PM me if you like it. I never used it since I've been quite disappointed when I tried it for reading.

Be aware that a gelatine-looking or very regular shaped icecream cannot be gelato, as its ingredients doesnt allow it to have a perfect shape. In fact it has to be made ONLY with natural ingredients, and full cream milk, stop.
Actually the "premium" American ice-creams (and Haaaaagen-Dasz is one) are also made with only natural ingredients, but the Italian gelato has a more elaborate manufacturing technique (it involves chilling at two different temperatures, for example; I don't remember the details). You can get perfectly good Italian-style gelato, at least here in NY, made by people trained in Italy, although it's not nearly as common as American ice cream, and probably 3/4 of the so-called "gelato" here isn't anything special.

Haagen-Dasz is from the Bronx, a rather homey part of New York. The name was chosen to look vaguely Scandianavian, according to an article I read a while back.

I always thought our german brothers took away the icecream business in the USA, and I always wondered how did they succeed! Lol, I wouldnt have made that harsh comment about Hagen Dasz it if I knew it's made in the USA. Obviously it's made to fit the american taste.
