I had CalenGoo installed in the past but didn't like it and uninstalled it pretty quickly. I also have a wireless connection program that syncs to a desktop app, I may have inadvertently allowed it to sync my calendar while I was testing apps yesterday.

I do remember going into "Settings - Accounts & Sync" and clicking on "Add Account" to add Local Calendar and Facebook. I know that Facebook prompted for credentials, I don't remember absolutely for sure about Calendar. If you go into the calendar app and click Menu, under "Calendars" there's a Local Calendar sync option. It may also have prompted for credentials. I'm sorry, I have a ton of apps on my PE and I was playing with everything new and testing all my important apps. I'm a systems analyst that tests and pushes software out to over 10,000 corporate PCs so I am accustomed to trying to break functionality ;-)

If I run across it again, or if today's entry doesn't sync (it hasn't yet, but that's not unusual), I'll post back.

In the "Contact" App, when pressing Menu, there's some options for syncing ... That asks for credentials to add an Exchange account ...(I had no other choice than Exchange).
I don't have network connectivity for the PE here, so I can't go further now...

I noticed that the old email app is still there. Is there a way to get rid of it ? the uninstall button is not available in the settings. Both apps (email and Froyo email) run simultaneously in the background.

Do you have Diopen runing on the PE using Ermine? Is it dependable?

What about a thread of all programs that are supposed to be for 2.2 that actually run on Ermine and those that don't?

To get the calender to sync, you need to use the exchange option. In that option you will need to put in your goodle email address as your user name and for the server you put m.google.com

Awesome, thanks! Now if I could just set it to not delete from the server.

I don't seem to have an exchange server option--just a local calendar...

What else could be tried? Any other camera apps?

I'm still wanting a barcode scanner via the camera to work. Has anyone had success with this?

I probably just need to fiddle with it some more. I was able to access gmail through the Froyo mail app, but still no dice with the calendar.

Almost, at least for me.
My main Google calendar syncs to the edge, but none of my sub or added calendars.
My entries into the edge Calendar do not sync with my Google calendar.
Contacts do not sync.

I guess this is not wholly surprising. Sub-calendars/added calendars in Google also don't sync with Outlook (and other programs?). It is really unfortunate. Any idea why items added in the eDGe don't sync to google?
It is exciting, however, that at least some of the calendar items sync.

Ihad the same issue : no way to add another calendar within the calendart app settings. I got it via the Contact application.
