I have had this issue with the big edge many times as well.
Need to reboot to get the wifi working again

I kind of feel this happens if you desactivate the wifi before going to hibernation. Not sure though

Has Entourage became Synnex ?
I went to Entourage homepage and saw that the reseller for Canada is Tigerdirect.
By curiosity I lurked around Tigerdirect. They have the Pocket Edge for sale, apperently in stock. I noticed a weird thing at the bottom of the PE description page :

I understand everyones frustration and concern over the issues with hibernation, but I've always found the EE's battery usage ridiculously inefficient in this mode so I've opted to just turn it off when not in use. I find this tactic extends the batter life. Now, it would appear, this tactic might be a temporary fix for many of the issues associated with hibernation in Froyo.

Someone mentioned that the EE encounters problems when connected to a PC. That does suck. However, because the edged doesn't charge via USB, I gave this option up a while ago. Instead, when not using the EE, I power it off. This allows removal of the SD card , allowing quicker and more elegant management of the data on the card.

Perhaps these comments will help someone in need and see them through to the point at which Entourage/Synnex released the final version.

I, too, shall keep my EE 'til death do up part!

I just noticed today that the journal response is now lightening fast on the EE. I had a few issues with slowing down my handwriting before and had to mostly print my notes. Well no more.

lol, no I asked enTourage who "Synnex" was when TigerDirect.ca first started carrying the PE in late November/early December. I was told Synnex is just a Canadian distributor. They don't manufacture things. It's just a quirk of the retailer's listing.

Hello all! I have a PE and upgraded from 1.13 to 2.2 yesterday. I had moved my library to the SD card and expected to lose my configuration since I'd seen somewhere in the forums that this wasn't supported. I was pleasantly surprised after the upgrade to find everything intact - right down to my reader history list.

I am very, very pleased with the upgrade. Below are my experiences from using it for most of the afternoon yesterday:

I installed the only app I had been wanting and had been unable to get due to the Android version - Dolphin HD - and it installed beautifully from SlideMe. So far no crashes but I haven't used it extensively.

SlideMe acts a little strange - when you install something it bounces back to the compatability check screen and I had several installations going at the same time because it wasn't apparent it had excepted my install request. I'm going to try uninstalling the app and reinstalling it today to see if that clears up.

The camera and camcorder now have a MUCH better picture than they did! They were useless to me before and, yes, I'm sure I removed the plastic ;-)
When browsing through the app list though, I now have TWO versions of "camera" - v1 and v2.2.1

None of the apps that have the "Move to SD" available actually would go. I got the error "Failed to move application" on every one I tried.

I had to uninstall and reinstall the Amazon app store but it works beautifully now.

Angry Birds will not install. It installed before but would not run correctly, now it won't install at all. Angry Birds Rio from the Amazon app store installs and runs beautifully though.

The calendar now syncs with Google! Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (update - I may be mistaken about this... still testing to be sure)

I have hibernated and resumed many times with no problems, even with wireless on and connected when I closed the PE.

Overall I am VERY pleased. Froyo is MUCH faster and more responsive than 1.6 was. I turned off all the "bells and whistles" such as screen slide in and fade in and out and it just flies. Thank you Entourage!

Thanks for this. I was going to ask specifically about the Journal app, since I use that more than anything. I wasn't able to devote any time to the edge/update over the weekend so I'm not updated yet. Any other comments specifically on Journal? The beta doesn't screw anything up here?

Froyo for me is outstanding with no issues. Quick question... How did you get your Calendar to sync with Google.

Wow - BobClarke is right - it works without lag! (First time I tried it since the update.)
To Jan_hall_us - how did you set up Google Calendar to sync?
As far as the camera goes, I show 2 versions in applications as well - however, any picture I take is still green and fuzzy. The version 2.2.1 does not have any data in listing versus the 4 KB in version 1.

I will post about Google Calendar sync later today, I'm not on my PE right now. I hope I'm not wrong but I added a test entry yesterday on my PC (which syncs to Google) and it showed up on my PE.

My camera app WAS green and fuzzy under 1.6 and is now full-color, clear, and takes decent pics. It shows up as clear color while looking at the viewfinder and also the actual snapshot loaded in the Gallery viewer. Nothing to write home about but at least they look like snaps instead of green mush :-)

Each time it happened for me my WiFi was enabled, I was leaning the other way - thinking the WiFi was unable to recover from hibernation, so I turned it off last night before shutting the edge. No issue connecting this morning. I guess time will tell.

But you would have had to add your credentials for that to happen. Sure you are not using calengoo?
