For a press release to be of any value it would have to have substance; not vague descriptions.

Indeed... as I mentioned earlier, something like Wacom tech is a must for this sort of device for me. Put simply, has anyone ever tried stylus-writing on a resistive OR capacitive screen? As soon as you lapse concentration and let the heel of your hand touch the screen, you're leaving random marks all over the place depending on how the particular screen resolves the multiple contacts. There's a decent likelihood I'd be an iPad customer for the same pricetag, except I can't really see using a tablet that I can't (a) write/draw on and (b) use for longer than my laptop.

And yet we don't even have an unsubstantial, vague press release

This'll be in The New York Times tech section as an article about how Apple caused the death/merger of another company before we get a press release.

Even my Fujitsu TabletPC was bad for this (the stylus was just plastic - it was just a regular touch screen and you could use anything on it). I'd be writing and the heel of my hand would touch somewhere and I would get a HUGE LINE from the pen tip to my hand, connected as part of the stroke. This happened often enough that I knew any future machine I'd choose would be one with a wacom stylus again, like my original Acer Travelmate.

The most disturbing thing for me (beyond the silence) is the lack of minor upgrades. Entourage was always coming out with Dingo 1.9 and 1.10 and 1.11. It's been a while since I've heard about an update. Even if a new product was on the horizon, I can't reasonably (an important word there) imagine a company wouldn't want to continue to support a relatively new and vital product. But what do I know? Nuffin'

enTourage would argue they're 100% working on the Froyo update at this point and not letting anything distract them...

I'm not far from their McLean office. I'm tempted to just stop by and make sure there isn't a "For Lease" sign.

enTourage, if you're reading this, if you see a dweeb in a lab coat with his face pressed against the window, do not be alarmed.

Maybe drop by around lunch with a few pizzas and cases of pop (beer?). I'm sure they could use some cheering up regardless

Maybe I'll join you and see if they have a spare stylus lying around at HQ. Figures I would lose mine on travel and then discover inventory for the stylus has evaporated.

JourneyEd has them: http://www.journeyed.com/product/sea...srch=entourage, although their "ships in 3-5 days" suggests they may need to get them first from elsewhere.

You can always call enTourage and inquire about how/where/when to get a stylus.

Thanks borisb, I got the voicemail at entourage, but sent them a note as well. Appreciate the link and will try that.

On another note, thanks for all your work in making EE and PE ownership a great experience for folks here.
