I believe I just encountered something i never have before maybe you guys can help me out. I literally just went to the ebook store and ordered a book i got the confirmation email when i went to download my book it says e_lic_user unknown and then gives me a long link i have never had this problem when buying a book whats going on? can someone help me please?

When you registered your eDGe, did you specify a different email address for your Adobe ID that the email you used to create your enTourage account?

I'm beginning to think that Entourage eDGe owners are qualified to sympathize with CUBS fans. Been waiting for 100+ years . . .

It was plugged into my computer att the time but as soon as I unplugged it the book downloaded fine I thought that was strange

It is unforgivable at this point. The importance of this thread is exemplified by the fact that there have been more than 230 posts in less than 6 days. People (i.e. customers) care about this, and it is totally unreasonable that Entourage has not been more forthcoming with information. It is clear that the lack of information represents some company policy at this point, which may be related to some business deal or something else. Even if Froyo is released in the next few days, as someone suggested was likely (although I doubt the validity of that claim, and that person made such a claim giving absolutely no backup info), the inaction by Entourage is unforgivable. The tech support continues to be great, and that is to be applauded.

My understanding is that while the eDGe is connected via USB, that some (all?) file operations may be suspended so that there isn't a conflict between the PC and the eDGe both trying to do something at the same time. I generally avoid using the eDGe while it's connected...

ya normally i do as well but i had put a movie on it early and had completely forgotten it was still plugged in! Borisb maybe you can help me out with a question. iv tried downloading books to my computer and i have the adobe digital reader but the books never come through and there is always an error message

If you're having problems downloading ebooks in Adobe Digital Editions, you should contact the store you purchased them from for assistance. The likely cause, though, is that the Adobe ID you set in your Adobe Digital Editions is different from the one you specified in the ebook store. They can help you with figuring that out.

EE owner for ~2 months, and loving almost every aspect of it. I grabbed one of the last units in the Entourage store as soon as I heard about the device (around about when I noticed EP featured on Gizmag, and also props to borisb who seemed to have a forums answer for every concern in my pre-purchase Google research). It was the first thing since my secondhand iRex (may they rest in peace) Illiad that could do proper Wacom-tablet note-taking on e-paper, which is really what I use paper for most these days. It's also one of the few portables I've seen so far that lets me work directly off a USB stick when I e.g. want to use the device at work without actually saving work files to its main memory. I'm a professional tech, so I could tolerate a lack of first-party support and discontinued updates, but it would be a shame to see Entourage become the next in a line of companies to fall due to having their niche/premium technologies outcompeted by newer faster generics.

It is indeed a great device, and it would indeed be a shame for enTourage to meet the fate of betamax just because iStuff is more shiny. I really am rather surprised that none of the bigger players has made a real eDGe-competitor - all we've seen are sad Chinese wannabe knockoffs. Let's hope enTourage pulls through

Here's to EnTourage who's fate will be tough, if enough people don't buy all of their stuff. We like both of their Dualbooks, they are better than Nooks. But communication they decline, that is so out of line. Us forumites are nervous, to us that is a disservice. But with hope in our collective heart, maybe Entourage shall do it's part and update all our Edges and keep us off the ledges!

They better go under!
I just bought every accessory in their shop (including the last set of styluses :P ) so if they actually survive -_- I just wasted like $300!

geez...
oh well...

oh well...
I just noticed this morning that styluses and AC adapters are now out of stock (http://www.entourageedge.com/accessories.html), joining the small book light that's been out of stock for a couple of months. We'll have to see if they replenish these items by the end of the week or not.
