eDGe inventories almost completed dried up

Anyone want to buy mine for $300? I don't know...what do you think would be a good price for a 1 year old EE if I were to sell it? I'm thinking of getting the HTC Flyer that was just announced by Sprint.

If enTourage sticks around, $200 is probably reasonable for a well used 1 year old eDGe with an expired warranty. If enTourage doesn't stick around, $50 is probably a reasonable price.

There is no problem using binary driver files when compiling a new firmware. we could also look at the source code to see what entourage changed from stock android, which would help us in compiling our own Honeycomb port.

However, even though the technical details can be worked through, you'd have to find some developers willing to put in the hours. I have started looking into this, but I don't think I will get far enough to release it for others to use.

Entourage really don't want developers on thier platform and have done a good job of chasing them away. there is little chance of finding people willing to put in the hours on this device.

I am looking at buying a either a galaxy tab, a htc flyer or an lg optimus pad. in the meantime I can't wait for my free Blackberry Playbook to arrive.

with all the options why would anyone buy a device that has no support.
I'm not holding out much hope that my edge will be repaired under warrenty, so if it will cost much to fix, I'll be binning it. it's a pity because I really think it was a great device. it was just let down by the company.

I completely agree. I would hate to give my Dualbook up, but I hate not having a company to at least call for tech support should something happen to it.

You won't be able to sell it here, though (forum terms of service and what not - something enTourage does take very seriously). List it on eBay. Be sure to log into your enTourage Store account and mark it "Transferrable" before you ship it to the buyer.

Let's not go overboard. The bare hardware of the Edge is worth more than that for goodness sake. There are 7" Android tablets shipping from China with zero support or warranty that sell for more than $50.

I would say that, assuming it is the end of Entourage, a good price for a used (but not significantly damaged) Pocket Edge would be $150, and for the full sized edge $250. I can't see how they'd go for much lower than the similarly-sized Archos tablets which have little support and no eink reader.

I think $200 USD is about right for resale value of a used-but-very good condition eDGe WITH protective covers (from Decal Girl), the original box, and the accompanying documentation. Heck, I'll even throw in FREE shipping when I place it on eBay at the end of my semester in May!

Well, on the contrary I think you should augment your price ... Your eDGE is going to become a rare collection device !

Holy cats! I'd been away from this forum for a few months and decided to check in, and saw this thread. I hope against all the circumstantial evidence that it's not the end of the line, but it sure doesn't look good. I saw a reference to Snow checking in in an earlier post - Does anyone know when he (or any other official) has appeared in the forum?

There was no post by Snow today, and I didn't notice him being active in the forums.
