.sxw files

is there a way to view .sxw files on the PE? I don't even know what they are, but I need to open one to view it and can't do it on any of my devices.

That is an Open Office file, similar to word. You can download the program for free (for your PC). Portable version here http://portableapps.com/ If you need the file on the edge save it as a .doc after you open it on the PC and transfer. You probably can open it in Google Docs as well, just upload.

A little useless trivia -- The sxw file is from StarOffice and earlier versions of OpenOffice. The current version of the ODF spec saved by OpenOffice (and its clone LibreOffice) uses extension .odt for Writer/text, and .ods for Calc/spreadsheet files. It's worth noting StarOffice/OpenOffice/LibreOffice can output a document directly to a PDF file.

...and it's other clone, for Mac users, NeoOffice, uses the same.
