Buying pr picking Edge up at LAX or JFK Airports stores

Hi, everyone! I have been trying to get an Edge since May now and following the forum messages for months as well, but I live in Buenos Aires and I don't wan't to have the Edge sent through postal service, as the experience with electronics hasn't been good in the past. While I've been waiting for someone to visit the US and bring it back for me, I happen to be traveling to New Delhi next January, and I have the chance of choosing stops either in NY or LAX airports to connect with Air India there.

So I was thinking if there were any appliances stores (such as Best Buy or JR or PC Connect) located inside either of these airports where I could buy the Edge during the connection between flights. I have tried to get this information but I couldn't so far.

If an available store offering the Edge inside the airport existed, I could route my flight to make a stop at that airport, as budget is about the same in either case.

My other option is making a stop at Doha, Qatar travelling through Qatar Airways, which is a great airline, but I doubt I could get the Edge at Doha Airport for 499 US! But if anyone knows this is possible, this astonishing piece of information would be much appreciated!

Thanks for your help with this!

Hi and welcome, unfortunately, at the moment, the Edge is not available in stores. You have to order it online. Staples is the only retailer I know of where you can order it online and pick it up at a store. I really doubt there's a staples in any airport though. What you could do though, if you have a long enough layover, is find a Staples near the airport and, while you wait for your flight, run and pick up the Edge you have ordered online and had shipped to the store. That's the only thing i can think of. You'd have to go to the Staples web site to find a location close to the airport though.

Ya, theres a Staples near LAX. Just have to plan it carefully. Its probably closer than any Staples near JFK.

I can confirm there's no Best Buy, Staples or other such store at JFK or La Guardia in New York. Also pretty sure there isn't one at Newark airport. However, if you fly into JFK or La Guardia and have a few hours layover, it's a quick trip (15-30 minutes from La Gaurdia, 40 minutes from JFK) into Manhattan (except during rush hour), where you can visit a Best Buy or Staples. If your layover is less than four hours (five for JFK), you run the risk of getting back to the airport too late to make it through security again to make your connection. Security lines for international flights out of both airports can be hellishly long.

Ooooh. Does this mean that even if a make use of a generous layover and ran to J&R Store, I cannot buy the Entourage there at the counter? Humpf......

I have just seen that I can buy online at J&R for 499 USD and pick up at Macy's J&R Store near Penn Station, for instance, so, layover allows, maybe I could take this chance. Thank you very much to everyone for their help: Alefor, NiaTrue, JSFiller.
