I love the flower buttons; just the right amount of fun in such a serious case. Does the outside pocket come off (I'm sure it's in the directions -- too lazy to go back and reread them)?

Never mind about the outside pocket. I looked again at your pictures and that pocket appears to be part of the original dayplanner case, yes?

Nice work. I think everyone thought I was a little nuts when I suggested a binder (yes it was me, but I believe you thought of it too - great minds you know).

. . . as a matter of fact, it DOES have handles. They push down into the outside pockets (behind the keyboard pocket in front, and in a similar slim pocket in back.

Say, these generic Case Logic cases claim to be compatible with the PE. Since my few local retailers had no suitable sleeves, I ordered one and will report the results.

That's the mini version of the one I have in sickening baby powder blue. (Posted a pic in the thread re: flexible keyboards) I needed one immediately for a trip, and the only colours they had were that blue and a freaky, neon pink. In the event hubby ever needed to use it for his iPad, I thought I should go with "blue" -- if you can call it that. (We travel on a lot of planes where you have to gatecheck a laptop bag, so you carry your laptops etc. on the plane by hand, and at the time we were low on protective cases for all our carryon electronics.)

I love mine. I got it despite the colour because we also use similar, even smaller "semi-hard-shell" cases for our external hard drives. They're incredibly light, though they do add bulk (all of it padding). Hope you find the size is right for the PE. The 11.6" model fits the edge perfectly, and if you fit them just right, also the slim keyboard. (Or, more commonly for flying, I put both my edge and my 11" macbook air in the case together.)

The verdict is in, and sadly, the PE does not fit in the case, at least not if you want to zip it shut. But the seller has a nice return policy and the customer service person I spoke with said he was instructing the marketing department to remove Pocket Edge 7.0 from the list of devices the case fits.

Rocketfish ereader case, a neoprene sleeve with a zip top fits perfectly. I picked mine up at Best Buy but Amazon has them too. http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=...der+case&ajr=3

Thanks, JL. Getting them to remove the PE from their list probably saved some poor soul down the line from making the same mistake.

Here a couple of cases that might work for the PE. I''m looking at buying one of these but I haven't decided which one. Theses cases will hold the Pandigital Novel e-reader (5.25 x 7.25 x .5 inches) and Velocity Micro Cruz Reader (5.6 x 7.5 x 0.6 inches) which dimensions are similar to the PE (5.5 x 7.5 x 1).

This one looks the most promising based on the dimensions of the case:
