Android WinAmp for Android

Those of us of a certain age will remember WinAmp

According to enGadget, WinAmp is being released for Android 2.1: http://www.engadget.com/2010/10/21/w...s-is-realized/.

We'll have to wait a few more weeks for enTourage to release the long awaited Android 2.2 update first in order to try it out.

Unfortunately, it is for Android 2.1 and up..

We only have about a month to wait.

Yes, a misread I'm only drawing on public information:
- enTourage has hinted/said in past weeks that 2.2 is coming in the Fall
- the latest pre-order page (European) indicates a November 15 release of the Pocket eDGe with "Android 2.2" listed in the specs
- by all unofficial leaked appearances, the Pocket eDGe is 100% compatible with the full eDGe, which means if it gets 2.2, so will our eDGes

I'm not privy to "insider" info, but I do keep my eyes and ears open for any hints/leaks anywhere...
