BTW Yellowman1 I managed to pick an eDGe up from eBay and received it today, so my fun is just beginning but thank you so much for your offer to source one. You're one of the true torch-bearers for this forum and I'm sure you'll help several of my European colleagues out now that European pricing has been hinted at aroud 629Euros.
You are welcome, always glad to help. Whoever needs help getting it over there can let me know, I'll be glad to help (No, I'm not in it for the money and neither do I ask for any, just glad to help whenever I can and I hope people pay it forward).

Are you sure this is not a UNIX server? UNIX gets constantly mistaken for DOS by Windows users. If you connect via SSH to this server, you can use ConnectBot for Android. OpenSSH servers also run on Windows server to provide a remote DOS prompt over the SSH protocol, this may also be what your school has done. You can also connect to a Windows server via Remote Desktop by using an RDP client for Android. Flash may also work via RDP, I have not used RDP for this purpose, but for slides it should be fine. Remember, Powerpoint is on the eDGe, so you can view those files as well. Perhaps your instructor has a copy of the slides in PPT format, and just exported it to a Flash file for easier access by students.
