my impressions:
1. still unstable, crashes 2x in 8hrs time
2. love epub opening of web pages in native browsers, shame you can not do it in other browsers. I can read now my bbc news in the garden!
3. touch is very responsive.
4. camera is very poor

I don't hear the click feedback. Is this something that needs to enabled in settings?

After a bit more testing/playing around, I'm even more impressed with the update. First of all...wait for it...my Motorola S9 paired and connected, and I am quite blissfully gettin' my groove on wirelessly as I type.

And speaking of typing, it's a much-improved experience. I can actually type faster with fewer errors than before the update. I'm really grateful for that because the prospect of extended travel without an external keyboard was starting to look like wishful thinking.

I never had any of the scrolling or other problems posters have mentioned with the LCD screen, but the imprecision of the Select Text function annoyed the heck out of me. Now it works perfectly.

YouTube app: Love it.

Yes, the typing really is an improvement isn't it. The text selection is vastly improved as is the inputting for the notes tool in the ereader. I haven't used it for browsing today, but I imagine the improvements on the LCD will make link selections and scrolling in the browser a lot better too.

Loving the update. Keyboard is more responsive, the predictive text works, and I am not getting the phantom touches on the LCD Screen. Also the update icon was a plus. Thanks.

I am able to listen to Radiotime on my Bluetooth and take pictures! So many other things I am going to try. So far I love it. Btw, I can control the volume and forward and back with my Samsung WEP 870 stereo Bluetooth!

I am really impressed with the web page to the Eink feature. This works wonderfully if you use the printer friendly formatting option that is available on most websites. In fact, I can't believe how well it works on Safari Books Online. Every html page can be sent over to the Eink side and it is perfectly formatted. It is exactly what I have been looking to do for a long time. Now if I can just remap the screen rotate button with this new function.

I am really impressed with this update The touch behavior is MUCH improved. Accuracy is great and the screen doesn't freak out and jump all over the place anymore when trying to scroll.

The keyboard is also more accurate and key presses register more quickly. Having a functional autocomplete dictionary is also a huge plus!

The send screen to e-ink feature is nice, as well as, the updated version of ES File Explorer (v1.4.0). For those complaining about the camera quality, you can change the resolution. The default is vga, but can go up to 3M.

great features, finaly the camera works. on my eDGe it's very unstable, worse then before. I still have error processing framework and after the update that became more than ones. it still hangs or crashes, however you wanna call it. unfortunately. what i do miss in this is the ability to transfer a email to the eInk screen. you can do that with a webpage, what is great, but you should be able to do the same with an email. but, i'm glad with it..

Franky, seems like internal memory (SSD or Flash Drive) crashed. Think that you must return it to manufactor for replacement.
PhysicsFan, there's big differense between real 3mp cam and eDGe 3mp interpolated cam (the same used in low cost chinese phones and webcams). When talking about video: real 5mpx cam -- is like fullHD quallity without any artifacts, 3mpx -- HDready, 1,3 -- DVD, 0.3mpx -- 320x240. There's MAYBE problem with bus speed (like 3mpx cam connected via USB1,1 -- which can transfer enough data), but anyway currently, when looking for video quallity it's look like EE use 1.3 (or less) mpx cam.
Anyway, does anyone tried cam with skype or other video chatting ?

Maybe you have the system audio muted. Hit the + key on the side (next to the headphone/microphone jacks) a few times.

The battery life has much improved with the new suspend mode. I left my Edge sit closed for over 3 hours and it only used 10% of the battery; much improved over the 25-30% drain before the update. This suspend mode will be very useful for me while at work. Now, I will not have to always shut it down between meetings to save the battery life.

Yep, me, too. I was always shutting it down between meetings to conserve the battery. Now don't have to do that. I have a handy app/widget called PowerTime, which is pretty good at measuring battery power in terms of hours. The only hangup is that it bases its calculations on the last hour you used your device. So if you surf the web and download videos for an hour and a half, it will use that profile to calculate how much time you have left. Not so accurate for determing how much time you have left if you do plan to turn off WiFi and read on the e-ink side for the next five hours. But handy none the less.
