Android Citrix Receiver 1.0 Android App

Citrix has recently released a Receiver App for Android, which looks pretty sweet.

I, for one, would find the ability to connect to my firm's citrix server from the eDGe EXTREMELY valuable.

Unfortunately the app is only available on the Android market... Would love to hear reports on this app from someone with a market-capable Android device!

Geeze..even more reason to dislike Google's decision. This app would rock on the eDGe given the screen real estate!

I posted a question about getting it for non phone devices on their support forum. I'll post the responses when they come in.

Has anyone been able to obtain and test this app? If so, please share any info. Citrix is a key productivity requirement for a lot of Edge users, I am sure (myself included).

I should add that by now the 1.1 version of this app is out and includes support for large-screen devices!

It does install and run full screen. However I was not able to test it with my institute's system (a patient database) because of security restrictions that would make it impractical. Here's hoping it works for you.

Thanks a lot for posting this, OncTech! It installs for me and apparently even gets to the access gateway, but I keep getting an "invalid credentials" response, so I may be in the same boat as you. I think my firm may be restricting the gateway to SSL VPN connections, but I don't know enough about VPN or Citrix to know if that's consistent with the error I am getting.

I have download the APK file. When I'm want to install I get the message that I can not install the Citrix Reciever on my Edge. Help?

I have just installed the Citrix receiver on my EE. works fine. You can create a demo account with Citrix and test some Windows Application Like Word , Excel, PowerPoint running on the Citrix cloud. Looks nice, a bit slow, all depends on the internet connection. Best is to adjust the screen settings. Even tough my wireless mouse is working (in general) with the EE. A mouse cursor/pointer would be great.

Found the problem. You need a good network connection for installation. This afternoon problems with connection. Just try again, and works now.
