Advice on Bulk Updating MetaData

Hi everyone

I've got a large library of books and would like to update the metadata to ensure they match the 'expected' as published (as often is the case I have ended up with books with strangely worded titles etc...).

On using the bulk update facility without any changes to its configuration I am finding that it often gets the titles and hence all other information completely wrong?

Is anyone able to point me in the right direction as to how to get it to accurately download the information? e.g. Should I install say the B&N plugin?

Thanks

Tony

Use the "Configure download metadata" button at the bottom of the Metadata editor screen to set which fields to update. Turn off update of authors and titles. (You can also refine the setting by 'source' when you prefer one over the other.) There's no guarantee that this will be perfect, but at least you won't lose the titles and authors, which are now close to being correct. A bad match can change them drastically. For perfection, do your books one by one.

Thanks, I'll try and fill any 'missing' data first and then go through them slowly.
