63F today with some sun filtered through clouds. Rain starting today through beginning of next week with possible isolated thunderstorms.

Hopefully, I can get the yard mowed and the trimming done tonight before the rain starts. At least, I won't have to turn the sprinklers on.

Medium hot (89 F). Breezy, 50% humidity. If I was in Texas, it'd be considered downright cool, LOL. As it is, my neighbors are probably whining about the heat.

89 F in Illinois is pretty blazing. 89 in SoFlo is on the warm side. What I noticed most about growing up in the north and moving to the south is it's all about what you've acclimated to. 65 F used to be an ideal temp when I lived in NJ but now it's down right bone chilling. When I moved here I got rid of most of my winter clothes after that first winter, which felt like spring to me. As I acclimated to the warm temps, my wardrobe now has more wool sweaters than I've ever owned in my life! I couldn't have guessed that would happen!

It is so much more comfortable here than back home. My sister was expecting triple digits with no cool ocean breeze.

I've noticed it's more comfortable because the temps are more consistent. The weather is about the same every day so your body doesn't have to keep getting cooler or warmer. The temps only change 15 F from winter to summer. In NJ, the average temp changed 50 F from winter to summer, so I was always too warm or too cold. It changes just 2.5 degrees in a month here and our record high has never hit 100 F. I was pretty amazed when I learned that.

It's where we want to call home, that's for sure. We put in an offer on a condo today.

Lovely weather here in DFW. Relatively low humidity, clear and 36 c (98 F). Been driving home with the A/C off, just to enjoy the weather. Time to go smell the 4 o'clocks...

this weekend may be ushering in one of our summer weekends. it is to be in the mid 70s both days. tomorrow I have an open house (make a realtor happy, go to an open house this weekend, it is National Realtors Open House Weekend), and then Sunday I am hosting Yappy Hour again. go puppies! ;o)
