Sorry, Ivana!

Most likely in September or late August, I hope that I will be able to get some swimming in before it cools down. I will bring you a new bottle of homemade brandy then, my house is full of homemade alcohol... sometimes people will accidentally pour themselves huge glasses of rakija thinking that it's water, and not realize it until they've taken a big gulp!

My husband always jokes with me that I like my computer better than I like him, too

Late August I will be in Miami, Florida if all goes as planned, with my boyfriend. I will spend September with him in the US, then spend 10 days in Madrid to visit my friends and basically I will not be back in Croatia until mid October. Will you be back in Canada at that point?

Y'all are making me want to drink something stronger than Gatorade. All I have is a bottle of Peppermint Schnapps and one lonely wine cooler rolling around in the bottom of the fridge. I need to make a trip to the Happy Story soon and stock up for days like this.

Work! I just finished with my classes, and there are next to no jobs on the horizon for me in Croatia (at least not in the immediate future), unless perhaps I move to another city, which is problematic on its own. I had thought to stay here for a few months, but now I'm thinking that it might be better if I change my plans - it's better for me to be productive here then out of work there, I figure.

My day is good. I'm lazy today. Took the day off for Memorial Day and it's also my dog's birthday. He's three, which means in dog years he's old enough to have a drink with us!

He is finishing off exams right now in Croatia and then he is coming here. After that, it is still all up in the air. He already has a bachelor's degree completed, so I will try to see if he can get it accredited here. I do have to come back to take some exams (I have 3 left and my thesis to defend), I should do it in September but I can probably hold it off until February or April.

Looks like I'm chatty today, too, lol. Has anybody here tried the Documents 2 go app for iPad? I'm wondering if it is worth it for me to get the Premium edition. I've been putting off getting an office app for a few months now, because all of the ones on the market (of which there aren't very many as far as I can tell) seem to have some sort of drawback. Only Docs2go seems to be able to view footnotes, but can't create them... I don't even know if I am getting the facts right!

It's hard to stop, isn't it? I worked in customer service for over 10 years, so I can relate to many of those stories. There's one where an employee tells a customer that an alarm going off is to let management know that an employee escaped. He gets the joke but his wife thinks it's real. It's hilarious - and I've actually done that.

Gentle rain falling outside my window... siting here drinking the last of NBT's "Georgian Old Gentleman." A smokey hint that reminds me of Lapsang Souchong but not nearly as powerful. Nice for a rainy morning. Very nice.

I think my cold has finally broken, but I don't want to go out riding in the rain just yet. Think I'll stay inside and do some macremé instead. A friend asked for a new guitar strap and that should make for a good one-day project...
