Welcome on this very homey thread kittyppg.

Watch out for higher forms of assimilation. The dangerous ones are astra, ProfCrash and Stitchawl (in alphabetic order). Just to mention the professional.

I would be prepared to answer questions like:
milk and sugar?
why lipton?
scented?

I just made a delicious mug of Taylors of Harrogate's 'Yorkshire Tea,' steeped for precisely as long as it took me to make a bowl of popcorn.

Hi kittyppg! Welcome to the 'What's in Your Cup' forum.

I'm very glad to see that you are a tea drinker.

Do not adjust your TV. We are taking over programing during this emergency.

We are a loose affiliation of tea drinkers here, with kind hearts. With this in mind, may I ask if you are drinking that Lipton tea in commercially produced tea bags?

If so... STOP RIGHT NOW AND LISTEN UP!!!

There is better tea on your shelf. You just don't know it yet. We will guide you through the mysteries of teaism. Convicts drink Lipton tea in tea bags. Mentally deranged people drink Lipton tea in tea bags. People who knock down little old ladies trying to cross streets drink Lipton tea in tea bags.

Don't despair. We are here to help you though this crisis. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

For now, that's all I'll say. I don't want to induce too much trauma on first contact. Be ready with your shopping list and a couple of #2 pencils so when Astra or ProfCrash show up, you can begin to jot down notes. Soon everything will be much better.

We now return control of your TV to you... but the emergency is still in effect until changes have been made...

Did someone say the L word?

(Shivers)

Welcome to the board.

So what type of flavors do you like to eat? Are you someone who likes earthy, strong flavored food? Or are you someone who falls head over heels in love with anything that tastes fruity? Perhaps vegetables are your thing?

I ask this because it might help us point you to some new flavors of tea, we will start in bag form for simplicity sake, that taste wonderful and will help you to understand why the L word sends shivers down our spines.

There is a wonderful rich tea world out there. I have been drinking better teas, Republic of Tea and Mighty Leaf bagged tea at first, Teavana later, and now Tea Gschwendner and Gong Fu, for almost 10 years and there is still more to explore. It is a fun trip, full of amazing flavor and interesting experiments. We would love it if you joined us. We promise to move at a comfortable pace for you.

I might still have it in the loft, although I doubt. Most likely I got rid of it when we moved house.

See, if I were welcomed like that by our very modest tea fan beppe and teaists Stitchawl and ProfCrash one year ago, I would
Less than an year ago I have been consuming Yorkshire Gold tea dust 8 cups a day.
Something? or somebody? greatly influenced me
Right now I am consuming cuppa #3. Ahmad Hampton Breakfast. It adapts the best to unfiltered water in the office

Thank you girl and guys. Good show.

Prof, as always you lead the pack in usefulness, very constructive.

Astra, what a kind heart you have. I'll give a small gift, a humble token of friendship and admiration.

Stitcawl.

To your health I might brew some Chinese Oolong. With one large tea spoon of those pellets I can get more than one liter in 4 batches. I am using the Starbook coffee mug of my wife.

I think I would have run away as fast I could At least you're giving out warnings these days, I just got brainwashed by you guys without even realising it was happening! I still drink Lipton every now and then though. It's my little act of defiance

Right now: third coffee of the day. Still haven't woken up properly ... at 2PM ...

How odd. It does depend on the chair, of course. I find most of the 'kneeling' chairs to be awful.

I do specifically recommend the chair I have though. The elegant rockers mean that you can easily shift your weight when sitting, and there's no real weight on the knees at any time.
