He is now to be among you at the calling of your hearts
Rest assured this troubadour is acting on His part.
The union of your spirits, here, has caused Him to remain
For whenever two or more of you are gathered in His name
There is Love,
there is Love.

Well a man shall leave his mother and a woman leave her home
They shall travel on to where the two shall be as one.
As it was in the beginning is now and til the end
Woman draws her life from man and gives it back again.
And there is Love,
there is Love.

Good morning, everyone! Thursday morning with a mug of East India Company's Assam tea. That's about all I can deal with right now... I woke up with another cold! Dammit. That's twice in the past few months!

I'm still thinking about my son's wedding, and trying to figure out what to play for a wedding song for them... There are so many good guitar songs with happy themes. Of course, there is always "Hit the Road, Jack," "Close The Door Lightly When You Go," and "Breaking Up is Hard to Do," but I don't want to disillusion them so early in the game.

I doubled the amount of leaves and reduced the steeping time. I really like a lot of her ideas about making tea. They are much more broadminded than most of the 'instructional' pages that insist you need to use X seconds or Y amounts.

Aww.... I think that's sweet. Anyone who would warm up a candle on a cold rainy day gets Karma in my book! Most folks just melt the damn things. Bless you, my child.

And now a refill of the Assam tea and back to the guitar. That sure is a nice combination!

Nope no baby. Just stress from work sucking and tennis problems and my not being able to let a bad day go. I would prefer being pregnant. I left work three hours early so I could take a nap. I was wiped out and wanted to be able to go to tennis lessons tonight.

This time I was careful with the timing. I kept it to about four minutes. Usually I'm quite careless about it, often letting it sit for 8-15 minutes. (It does get bitter that way... .)

Someone played and sang it at my second wedding too. My third wedding was just signing papers at City Hall. No music although I did whistle 'Here comes the bride' as we walked into the building. No music afterwards either. We just went to Baskin&Robbins for ice cream sundaes. That's probably why it's lasted longer than all the others!

I'm having a mug of Fortnum & Mason's Ceylon tea, steeped for three minutes and 11 seconds.

A few more you probably want to avoid:

Don’t Stand So Close to Me (The Police)
Go Away Little Girl (Steve Lawrence)
All Good Things come to an end (Nelly Furtado)
Promiscuous (Nelly Furtado)
Alone again, naturally (Gilbert O'Sullivan)
I want a mistress for Christmas (AC/DC)
Suspicious Minds (Elvis Presley)
Love will tear us apart (Joy Division)
I Want to Break Free (Queen)
Oops I Did It Again (Britney Spears)
Song for the Dumped (Ben Folds)

Thanks, guys, but I think I'm going to stick with the happier stuff. Let them avoid reality just a wee bit longer. After all, you only get married once, right?

This is the song my Husband chose for our first dance.

Water for the moment. The good news is everything feels normal today and swallowing doesn't hurt. So tea at the office won't hurt today.

Yes, I should have switched to water but tea has healing properties right?

If you get really sentimental, you could substitute the names of the bride & groom into the song for some of the characters mentioned!
