I wish there were some way to bet you money that hacking has affected the price of nooks by as much as a dime a unit.

The only way I can see it jacking the price is by raising demand for them by making them more appealing.

I'd so love to see Amazon make something like this since I am a very happy Amazon customer.... but this thing could make me move to B&N someday. I'm happy with my Kindle and I really can't afford a new eReader right now, but glory that thing is lovely.

The free Kindle plus a $100 gift card was from a credit card offer. If I spent a total of $500 in the first three months, I get the free Kindle and the $100 gift card. Since I put gas, groceries, drugstore, etc. on the card I did that in the first month. My husband said I should cancel the card now that I have the Kindle. There wasn't anything in the agreement that said I couldn't!
