Waiting for us to have a thunderstorm pop up now. Our three mile daily jaunt certainly was alot sweatier yesterday.

Cloud covered all of Sydney yesterday. Driving to work I could look down on it from the top of Razorback. Unlike plain old fog it was pure white wispy and a pleasure to the eyes.
While winding through that mountain road in the bright sunshine looking down with a smile I listened on the radio as hundreds of thousands of urban dwellers were caught up in all manner of fog related delays. Aircraft diverted, ferries canceled etc.

Fog related delays must be better than our volcanic ash delays, though

storm brought down the interwebz but we have electricty. lots of trees/poles down. posting from kindle 3g. two neighbors cars totaled but no one hurt. might need new roof cuz of hail. gonna read till dsl is back on.

we're under warning for severe pop-up storms from all this atmospheric heating - we're breaking records for 90+ F temps in May!

Having just had our 3 mile jaunt, i would not have turned down a rainstorm in the middle of it. it is HOT out there.

[you know it's really summer when your after dinner walk makes you feel like throwing up.]

Fortunately, we're still having a little bit of spring here. Alternating with days of, yes, summer. But the spring days are so nice to have! Today is about 70. Nice!

My silver bike has turned yellow! The rain we've been having for the last couple of days has brought all the dust over from China and deposited it here! I guess it's off to the car wash before I can go anywhere.

We just had a monster thunderstorm that seemed to come out of nowhere. It didn't last very long, but the winds were outrageous. Much of our area is without power (not us, fortunately), but the outage included the Taco Bell from which my wife was going to bring home supper (we're having pizza from the store). Worse, it played havoc with our roof. Tore one side of a vent off and ripped off several shingles.
