How do you keep track of the award-winners?

I like to keep track of books which have won awards. I don't specifically shop for them or look for them, but if I have or read a book and it wins an award, I have a custom field for noting that. I am wondering if other people who follow such things tag only the actual winner of the award or if you tag the nominees too? For example, I just got a book which won the Giller Prize but was shortlisted for two other major prizes. I only noted the Giller in my awards custom field but I am wondering if I should be be noting the other ones too.

I don't. I just keep a list of the books I've read and the ones I want to get.

I have an "Award Winner" tag for myself in Calibre. I don't tag nominees or specific awards. I only go looking for certain award winners, but usually stumble on whether or not something has won an award when I add it to my goodreads. If I see it, I add it to the metatag.

I don't - I ignore award winners. All my favorite authors are long since passed away.

In fairness, alot of award winning authors are now dead. The Pulitzer has been awarding prizes for literature since 1917, the Man Booker since 1968 and the Whitbread Prize since 1968. And those are just the major, English prizes.

Honestly, I keep a spreadsheet of review requests (whether or not I choose to review them) and I note if it's a Kindle-only book on that sheet. I also note when I finish reading the book and when I write the review. I've recently added a place to put the genre on my spreadsheet. That's about it for tagging and tracking. Books I read that aren't part of the whole review thing? I don't track those at all. I did go through goodreads a while back and tried to find a lot of the books I read, and I put them on different shelves... and I just couldn't keep up with it. I really don't like to keep track of them beyond the ones I review.
