PDF to HTML
Can Calibre convert PDF to HTML? My ebook reader does not recognize PDF files and I have loads of them which I want to convert in bulk.
Thank you |

Yes. But Read the sticky for the conversion sub-forum about PDF conversion. Use HTMLZ to produce a single file HTML output. HTMLZ has a few options as to how to handle CSS. The default is to place the CSS in an external file. You might be better off using the class with inline handling option.
Also, HTMLZ is single file HTML with aux files such as images inside of a zip archive with the extension set to htmlz. |

PDF to HTML
Thank you for your reply. But it has gone totally over my head
![]() I tried saving in HTMLZ but when I try to open that file nothing happens. In windows 7 it keeps asking me if I want to open or save. I can resave it but I cannot open it. I would love to use this feature as I have many ebooks in PDF and my ebook reader does not support this format of PDF, so I put them into doc or HTML first. Mobipocket Creator does that for me, but only one at a time, I need to convert in bulk which is where Calibre would help a lot, if only I knew how to do it correctly ![]() Pls help Many thanks |

You need to rename the extension from HTMLZ to ZIP. Then you'll be able to open the file with whatever archive program you use.
