My best diet trick is to order tofu and veggies with no rice, with soup. The rice kills my diabetes, and it is basically just cheap filler. My favorite place just doubles up the cabbage for me.

For a good and healthy diet: try going to Iran, as a vegetarian. On a diet of mostly soup, flat bread, salad, soft feta-cheese, nuts, dried fruits, tea, some rice, the occasional lentil and water you'll loose weight in a flash. This diet reduces the appetitite as well and keeps one fit.

I don't know how much I have lost or put on because I have not replaced the dead scales. It was good for me to break the constantly knowing how much I weighed. Maybe I will use a tape measure

Sympathies. The first step is to stop gaining.

I've been at a bit of a standstill for the past five months. I seem to have managed to start on a slight downward trend over the past two weeks, but I'll only be sure if I see the same progress over the next two weeks as well.

I hit my target weight this morning - yay! I might go for 5 more lbs, and then the trick is to figure out how many calories I need to eat to maintain. I've been eating around 1200 per day while losing. I keep track with My Fitness Pal, which has an excellent Android app. It makes it pretty easy to know what you are eating, which I think is half the battle.
