Gwinnett Public Library has 1) ebook fiction 661, 2) Non-fiction 822. The breakdown on fiction is Sci/Fi/Fantasy 68, Romance 124, Mystery 285, Suspense 122, Teen 61 and Literature 50 total comes out to 710 so I guess a few are in more than one catergory. Plus they have over 15,000 public domain books that have no DRM if you don't know how to get them yourself.

There is an entire section on teaching you what readers are compatible and how to set up your computer.

I updated the list for May.

Hennepin County added the most titles since my last update. Pierce and King Counties also added over 1000 titles.

Curiously, Singapore added no titles for the second month. Neither did New York Public.

Sadly, Sno-Isle (WA) and Los Angeles Public libraries dropped from the list of 20.

As always, if there is a library that should be included please post and I'll add it.

Long Beach (CA) public library added ebooks as of May 1st, but I don't think they have enough titles to make your list.

Long Beach has just over 1300 titles. A nice start

It seems like only 6 months or so ago a library had to have ~3,000 books to be in the top 20. Now one needs ~8,000. That's definitely progress (although 8,000 books is a very small number for a library, don't forget).

Updated for June. Libraries have added more books than previous month which is great to see.

Washington DC is now at the bottom of the list. Hennepin County moved up several positions with their recent additions.

my math says the Cuyahoga County Public library which is separate from the top ranking CLEVNET has 8755 E books which puts it on the list i think.

Yes, it would put Cuyahoga just ahead of Wash DC.

Seattle is @ 25,586 and King County's @ 12,466.

Toronto Public Library still doesn't make the top 20 list, but it has tripled its collection since last August 3rd. SensualPoet reported 885 fiction and 573 non-fiction then, totaling 1458. As of today, the TPL has 3421 fiction books and 1142 non-fiction, totaling 4563.

And I still have to put ebooks on a hold list, so somebody is reading them.

Sorry, I will try again. I stopped because most of the libraries have changed their websites making it impossible to get an accurate count. For example, they separate epub, pdf and mobi instead off "all ebooks." I was hoping when Amazon library lending became available it would be easier to calculate.

I just recalculated the list yesterday. The only three I had trouble with were:

Seattle: mobi listed separately with no way to determine unique titles
Salt Lake: same as Seattle
Hennepin: wouldn't let me in to look without a library card
