Content Zoom and rotate?

I was looking at the sample for the Cyanide and Happiness book and noticed that the comics will not fit the screen in any reasonable way.

In portrait mode it scales to the screen width and is too small.
In landscape mode it ends up being centered.
I can zoom in but it only zooms in using a portrait layout.

Ideally the panels would be zoomed to fit the width in landscape mode, I have searched but I still have no idea if you can do this.
I know it's optimized for larger screens but it still should be readable in a scaled landscape mode.
