Rioja is a Spanish red wine, usually quite full-bodied, and one of my faves. As the sun is well over the yard arm here, it is definitely acceptable drinking time. I'm sure for those of you still in the morning or early afternoon, it's not quite so appealing.

Tuesday morning rains... warm rains... and breakfast of East India Company's Assam tea and a bowl of muesli with fruit. Not much inspiration today. Maybe I'll take a train ride into Osaka and look at electric guitars. I've been feeling the urge lately. Riding the trains and buses gives me almost three hours of reading time too, so I don't mind the travel at all... as long as I can get a seat, that is!

On a more serious note: I just found out that Wouter Weylandt, a Belgian cyclist, died after a 20m fall in the Giro today ... He lived in Ghent, was 26 and was going to become a father for the first time in September. This really is sad news. So I'm having an after-dinner glass of white wine in his honour.

Tatoos can wait. I can't think of anywhere fancy enough now

Red flowers are alright. Were they roses or some extraordinary ones?

Considering that it comes from India to the UK, the exoticism element is present I guess. Just like in your African Rooibos or my cuppa #3 - Lapacho. Wood shavings as my friends described it. When cleaning up tea strainer after it, you might get a splinter
