I've started a new blog, primarily to provide reviews of e-books and announcements of free/discounted books. It also gives me an opportunity to practice my writing.

It's very new, started today infact, and it would be very nice to get a following going.

The reviews will be primarily mystery/thriller/SF/crime and some non-fiction/popular fiction.

After a week of being mostly offline (thanks, busy work schedule), I just moved my blog to its own domain http://gracekrispy.com

I used to have a forward set up, so it may be the same address you've used all along. I'm going to stop making any updates to my previous blogspot address. I tried to keep the formatting similar (since I am a creature of habit in some respects), so hopefully I haven't forgotten anything major. It's quite a change for me, although, it may not look much different to anyone else. Check it out

Welcome to the inaugural International Chicklit Month! As a chicklit author, I’m soooo happy to be hosting this celebration of all things chicklit.

The chicklit genre is so diverse, encompassing all the issues that modern women face. And it’s so much more than killer-shoes and pink covers! It can be sad, happy, kick-ass, fun, comic, scary, inspiring, heart-warming, intriguing, romantic, raunchy, sassy, full of attitude, quirky, tear-jerking.

So, ladies, this is the time when we get to celebrate our journeys in life, and I’ve got a contest running all month to win lots of fabulicious chicklit ebooks. In addition to general posts about indie publishing, I maintain a feature called the Indie Author Showcase, which goes live with a new writer every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It is less a review and more of a free advertisement. I currently have authors scheduled through July and am always accepting new submissions. Monday's showcase features James Everington, who works with dark, supernatural short fiction. His most recent blog posts feature notes about the short stories in his newest collection.

Tomorrow will feature a guest-post by humor writer Gayle Carmine as we temporarily swap blogs for a day! Read a humor writer's horror fiction and see a horror writer embrace his funny bone.

The eBacklist Collection now lists over 100 books that were once published by traditional publishers and have now been re-released by their authors as ebooks. All DRM-free and without geographical restrictions. Lots to choose from, especially if you are a romance fan. If you know of any authors whose books are not listed there, please point them to the submissions page---they can add the books themselves without waiting for me to do it

I'm starting a new promotional program where I will discuss one of my books every week in my blog, on Twitter, and on my official author page on Facebook. The first book, last week, was On the Third Day - a religious / supernatural thriller. Sales didn't really go as hoped, and I was a couple of days into this week's title - my Bram Stoker nominated collection, Defining Moments - when it occurred to me that I should put the book I'm talking about on sale to encourage new readers to give it a try.

With that in mind, from today until the the 15th of May, both of these books will be only .99 at Crossroad Press, Smashwords, Barnes & Noble and Amazon.com . I hope this will encourage people to give my work a try. There will be a new book, and a new sale, every week.
