Day 4, and FEMA says they will call of the search for bodies this evening. So maybe they will let us get into our community tomorrow. So we will have to try to salvage anything we can find on Sunday and Monday, before the next round of storms come through on Tuesday. I doubt re-wetting everything will improve the situation. So today is finally a rest day, at least this morning. We plan to go out to get some lunch, then visit some car dealerships. I dread it, because car shopping is exhausting. Salesman try blunt force against me, the immoveable object. We both were having night terrors last night. I hope that after we get in there and see our home spot, maybe then some of the anxiety will end. I think maybe my kidney was bruised, but finally started urinating yesterday, and my shoes fit again today with the swelling gone. I know that I took a big hit in the back when the closet blew in on us, but with all of the cuts and glass and blood on me, a back ache was my least concern. I did not even know that I was cut all over until we got to my BIL's house, and SIL freaked out because my legs and shoes were covered in dried blood. It is so great to read all of your good wishes and comments. You mean the world to me. |
