Where Dreams are Born, a Kindle or print book from a small publisher.

After enduring traumatic childhoods, a single mom and a widower struggle to create a stable family life for their children despite those who would do them harm.

Corina of Big Al's Books & Pals says, "Where Dreams Are Born is a well-written romantic novel with elements of suspense. I found DeBacco’s writing fresh and evocative, highly readable and interesting. Characterization is good, the dialogue flows well, and the story was compelling enough to keep my attention and pique my curiosity about what would happen next. I found myself picking up the story in my spare moments during the day, wondering how the author was going to resolve certain issues."

Amazon's Lists

I just noticed that three of my books are in the "Top 100 Police Procedurals" list on Amazon.com: (sorted by reviews):

http://tinyurl.com/Amazon100TopPoliceProcedurals

They're a lot cheaper (and I do mean a lot cheaper) for readers outside of the United States and Canada, where my US publisher doesn't control the prices.

Check 'em out.

I was delighted to pick up another 5 star review for Dirty Old Town this week. Here it is:
“Dirty Old Town is the first thing I have read by Nigel Bird and it won't be the last. A very varied range of short stories. Nigel writes with an innate sense of believability, his characters came alive for me. Humour is ever present but this did nothing to spoil the sometimes dark nature of his tales - a rare skill. There's a little something for everybody in this collection. A cracking read start to finish.” Groodaz39
Thanks Groodaz (and sistaz).

It’s also the last day of voting over at the Spintingler Awards. I’d love it if you’d think of supporting me, though I know you might like to read all ten cracking stories in the ‘Best story online’ category before casting your opinion (and there are some amazing pieces to be considered. You’ll find the list and the poll at http://www.spinetinglermag.com/2011/...-award-voting/.

Many thanks,
nigel

Serendipity House, an e-book in multi-formats from a small publisher.

A runaway bride and the PI hired to find her discover a rundown inn filled with senior citizens is more like family than their own.

Stevi B. of Manic Readers says, "If you love eccentric characters, charming old inns, nature, and stories about finding yourself, characters who grow into someone they want to be, and of course romance, you will love the first half of this story. If you love conflict, an emotional tug of war, steamy scenes, and seemingly impossible situations, you will love the second half of the story. If you want an entertaining read, you will enjoy the whole book!"

The Depths of Deception: http://www.amazon.com/The-Depths-of-.../dp/B004RPVVTI

America has disappeared some years ago. A neo-fascist Party has come to power in the UK. Russia has expanded south. Ships leaving continental European waters are attacked. China is on the rise. A submarine hurtles through the cold dark waters of the Atlantic en route to an unknown destination. Only the ship’s doctor knows its true mission, but he is not who he appears to be.

A sweeping tale moving from the violent heart of Apartheid South Africa, to the ruins of the United Kingdom, and down to the edge of the world in the frozen Antarctic landscape, The Depths of Deception is a cruel tale of revenge, served as a shatteringly cold dish.

Picked up six five-star reviews so far, here's one of them.
Quote:
Where do I start? Prepare to feast on this scrumptious word meal! If this novel could be described as a cut of beef, then The Depths of Deception would be Prime Rib or better still Filet Mignon! Include your favorite red wine, voila! An all around superb dish.

The author captures your attention from the very first page. It grabs you by the collar and doesn't let you go. Long after you've finished. This is definitely a book for thinkers. Looking for a great read that also educates, then look no further. The detailed descriptions, gives one the feeling of 'being there'. You taste, smell and feel everything the main character does. Words alone can't express how much I enjoyed this book.

The scenic beauty of each locale described in glorious detail.
You would think that the occupation of the main character is off-putting, but somehow the author makes you like the character, almost against your will, so much so, in fact you want him to succeed. From start to finish, you will not be bored. You will want to savor every word, sentence and paragraph to its brutal conclusion.

You get the sense that this author understands the "Human Condition" all too well. Our weaknesses, our hopes and our failures.

Very imaginative, informative and convincing. I am so looking forward to many more great reads from this author.

Well it was great while it lasted. My psychological thriller, Crack-Up, was among the top 100 best rated suspense novels for the Kindle, based on reader reviews, but alas Amazon has ceased showing that measure after a trial period of about two weeks. I guess the experiment failed and readers are more likely to use other methods to decide on purchases. So why not sample Crack-Up from one of these locales?

Take No More

My name is James Blake.

A single act turns my life upside down. I come home to find my wife, Julia, shot and bleeding. She dies in my arms.

The police are no help. I'm sure they're trying to fit me up for the murder.

I check Julia's messages and find just one. It says 'help me'. It comes with a strange, old image of a woman being seduced. It's all I have to go on. That and the fact that someone is trying to kill me.

But I will find Julia's killers, no matter what it takes.

That's the back cover to the murder mystery thriller Take No More, out now on Kindle.

5 star reviews:

'A cracking read.....'

'TAKE NO MORE is my favorite kind of thriller.....'

'Take no More has a well crafted plot with a neat ironic twist at the end.....'

'Seb Kirby's Take No More is an excellent read.......'

Why not give it a try?

Catch up with 'Take No More' here:
