very interesting. i'm not sure who nominated the book but i have been taking a look at it lately and may end up putting it on my kobo for a later date. hope this version stays in pd as well.

edit: so much for it going to pd, they're going to try and cash in on it.

I just want all Americans to remember, that downloading 1984 from MR is illegal. And if you do so, you've broken the law. Now, don't you wish you'd voted for The War of the Worlds which is fully legal to download?

You can read whatever you want.. it doesn't matter what wins. You can start a thread on any book you read that you want to discuss in the reading reco section too.

Well, given that by coincidence I had already started reading Anna Karenina (just finished part one), it got my vote.

I read 1984 back in high school--I wouldn't mind discussing it, but I have no plans to re-read it.
