You are right you did, somehow when reading through the thread, I saw that post but it didn't click at the time. I apologize for missing it. (not that I am removing my thanks to JSWOLF for slapping me in the head to make it stick as well...)

Thanks for pointing out what was happening and how to fix it. I am about half way through my 'repair' now. I like the way that Acrobat Pro (8 at least) outputs the HTML. I just wish BD handled the conversion of it better.... It mangles the images and looses the TOC at least for me it does.. -John |

When BD imports a PDF, it loses the attributes and graphics. I cannot say how it handles the paragraphs as I don't use it to convert PDF.

Acrobat 8 did a pretty good job with the paragraphs, but still it id mangle at least a few spots. So check for them and you will see. But the good news is next time we'll get an HTML file as well and can deal with that a lot easier. |

The one thing that drives me insane and I don't know if it is in the conversion, the original or in BD is FULL JUSTIFICATION. I hate when I am reading along and all of a sudden half the words are miles apart. For me it just destroys any rhythm I have reading through the book. How can I get BD to left justify without destroying all the other formatting? I tried highlighting the section that bothered me first and then selecting FORMAT->Other Formatting-> Left Justify and it looks OK in BD but when the LRF is made it is still Full Justified. Same goes for line spacing, err, page spacing.. well anyway, I want a page to look like this title Sub title Text info and in BD is does, however in the LRF it is all run together Title Sub Title Text info I have tried CRLF's and BR's and nothing seems to work in the final LRF. any suggestions? -John |
